Vinyl Flooring Installation
Durable, design-forward vinyl for commercial and premium residential spaces.
Vinyl flooring has evolved significantly. Today’s commercial vinyl — LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile), SPC (Stone Plastic Composite), and homogeneous sheet vinyl — offers excellent durability, realistic surface aesthetics, and easy long-term maintenance. We install all commercial vinyl grades across a wide range of Singapore projects.
Vinyl types we install
LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile/Plank): Click-lock or glue-down; realistic wood and stone aesthetics; suitable for offices, retail, and premium residential. Thickness typically 4–8mm with wear layers from 0.3–0.7mm.
SPC (Stone Plastic Composite): Rigid core; dimensionally stable in high-humidity environments; ideal for Singapore’s climate. Suitable for F&B, healthcare, and residential.
Homogeneous vinyl sheet: Solid colour/pattern throughout the full thickness; highly durable; ideal for healthcare, schools, heavy-use back-of-house. Brands: Tarkett, Polyflor, Armstrong.
Heterogeneous vinyl sheet: Decorative surface layer over backing; wide design range; suitable for offices and retail.
When to choose vinyl over carpet
Vinyl is the better choice when:
- High moisture or humidity is a factor (F&B, kitchens, bathrooms, Singapore outdoor-adjacent areas)
- Easy mopping and hygiene are priorities (healthcare, F&B)
- Budget is a constraint and carpet-level acoustics are not needed
- You want a hard-surface aesthetic without tile installation complexity
FAQ
What’s the difference between LVT and SPC? LVT has a flexible core; SPC has a rigid stone-plastic composite core that is more dimensionally stable and resistant to heavy loads and temperature change. For Singapore’s humidity, SPC is generally the better long-term choice.
Can vinyl be installed over existing flooring? Sometimes, if the substrate is flat, sound, and meets moisture tolerance requirements. We assess on site before confirming.
How long does commercial vinyl last? A quality commercial vinyl installation in a well-maintained environment typically lasts 15–25 years. Wear layer thickness is the primary determinant of lifespan under heavy traffic.
